The USG Executive Board
The Executive Board makes the day-to-day decisions that affect the operation of the student government. These officers are elected by the student body each spring for the following academic year. The duties of students holding the various positions are outlined in Article 4 of the USG Constitution. Since 1971 over 100 Buffalo State students have served as President, Vice President, or Treasurer of USG; click here for a listing.

The Administrative Vice Presidents
The Administrative Vice Presidents (also elected by the student body) chair standing committees made up of senators and students-at-large. The committes deal with issues affecting the student body and college life. The AVPs and their committes also plan and hold events. In addition the Administrative Vice Presidents each have a group of USG member organizations that they and the senators on their committe act as liasons to.
Appointed Officers
These officers of USG are appointed by the Executive Officers to assist in the running of USG. Their duties are outlined in the USG Contitution but in brief they are:
- The Vice Treasurer assists the Treasurer and is empowered to act on her behalf in some instances.
- The Senator Pro Tem works with the President and Vice President in keeping the Senate organized.
- The Rules & Regulations Chair oversees a committee that makes decisions on legislation and the elegibility of groups applying for USG Recognition.
