USG Welcomes Cornel West to Buffalo State
Author activist Cornel West spoke in the Rockwell Hall Auditorium on the evening of November 6 under the sponsorship of USG. In his talk West (seen above with members of USG) focused mainly on the history-making presidential election two days before.

USG Relaxation Week Events
During the last week of classes USG will sponsor several events to give students a chance to blow off some steam and go into finals with a healthy body and mind. The scheduled events are:

• Tiki Bar
  Wednesday, Dec. 3
  Learn to eat right, try flavored smoothies and make stress balls. All free.
  11:30AM to 2:30PM; Assembly Hall
• Ice Skating Jam
  Friday, Dec. 5
  Music by WBNY DJ Tiger, free hot chocolate.
  First 25 skate rentals free: all others only $2.
  Noon to 2PM; Sports Arena Ice Rink
• The Ultimate Game Zone
  Friday, Dec. 5
  Play Guitar Hero, Halo, Madden NFL, Dance Dance Revolution, Rock Band and more on large projection screens with slamming sound. All free plus Free Pizza!
  3PM to 8PM; Social Hall

The "Triathalon" is the Final Group Competition for 2008
This event features a basketball shootout, an obstacle course, rock climbing, hula hoops and more. The competition is Thursday, December 4, at 7:30PM in the Houston Gym. However, only groups that have signed up (in Union 417) by December 2 will be able to participate!
