III.    President Espinosa Report:

A.      Spring Fest will be held Saturday April 30th in the Sports Arena pending confirmation of the headliner. Tickets are tentatively $9 for general public, $3 for students. It looks like we have tentatively 6 acts.

B.      College Senate - I will not be here for the meeting.  I will need someone to proxy for me. Senator Curtis states that she can take his place.

 

IV.     EVP Sylvester Report:

A.      I would like to recognize Hector Gil to give an update on the election results. Hector states that over 973 students voted this year. The Mandatory Student Activity fee passed with 595 votes. NYPIRG passed with 700 votes and NFTA passed with 603 votes.

B.      Liaison Reports - I had only two names on my list and according to Matt they will be handing their reports in ASAP. The next Mandatory Organization meeting is Friday April 22nd at 3:00 pm in the Social Hall.

C.      MTV Campus Invasion - we had some problems with this but they are all straightened out.  It will be held on Thursday April 21st in the Quad unless it rains. On Thursday night there will be a concert at the Sphere.  As of today ticket prices are not confirmed.

 

V.      Treasurer Myers Report:

A. Vice Treasurer Smith announces that the budget is 99% done.  Next week we will bring the budget to the Senate for review. The following week which is April 26th the budget will be voted on. If you have any questions on the budget please ask them before the April 26th meeting.

 

VI.     Standing Committee Reports

A.      AVP Blake Academic Report:
- Reminder that the USG Banquet is April 24th.  Please RSVP by Friday.

B.      AVP Lafontaine Community Relations Report:
- Pictures - I am thinking of putting together a scrap book together with USG events. If anyone has any pictures of USG events that you would like to put in the scrap book let me know.
- Service Day is April 23rd.  I am passing around a sign up sheet if you are interested in helping out.

C.      AVP Buckley Sports & Rec Report:
- Bison game is April 22nd.  There are 47 tickets available at $10 each. Tickets can be purchased in the USG office.
- Paintball will be held on Sunday May 1st from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Equipment will be provided.

D.      AVP Pastwik Student Life Report:
- Questions & Comments

E.      Rules Chair Crowley Report:
- The Rules Committee would like to make a motion to pass the alcohol policy for the USG Banquet. This will be a cash bar. Vote is taken and passes 15 yeas, 5 nays and 4 abstentions.

F.      Senator Pro Tem Levin-Stankevich Report:
- There is a Food Service meeting on Wednesday April 20th in room 414.

IX.     Constituents Questions/Announcements

A.      Senator Pro Tem Levin-Stankevich states that he has been working with Professor Maxwell to have Senators sign up for Business 495 so you can get credit for being in USG.

B.      AVP Pastwik and AVP Buckley are trying to collaborate with the other AVP's to have a scavenger hunt.

C.      AVP Buckley announces that he would like to meet with his committee after the meeting.

D.      Senator at Large Groover announces on April 23rd RHA is having their annual basketball game in the arena.  AASO is having their 3 on 3 basketball game in Houston Gym. It will be $10 a team.

E.      Senator Nathaniel announces that RHA is having their Car Wash in lot F-1 from 9:00 am - 1:30 pm.  Donations will go to the March of Dimes.

F.      Senator Shaw announces CSO Carribash is this Saturday.

G.      Josh from NYPIRG is recognized to give an update. Josh gives percentages that the following fees passed by: Mandatory 79.1 %, NFTA 72.2 % and NYPIRG by 85.2%.  Tomorrow NYPIRG will be having elections for their E-Board.  This Thursday in class building 119 we are having a panel discussion on Election Day registration.  For next semester we are looking for  prospective interns.  You can gain 3 credits.  Also, this summer we have full-time positions available working in the environment.
