Senator Yazicilar states that at the Sub Connection orders being filled out in improper order, students shall come first. Senator Hirsch states that there is lack of healthy food options, we need more healthy food. Senator Manz asks to please clarify where the meeting is again. EVP Perez states at 1:00 pm in the Senate Conference room.
B. Game Room update - the white board has come in and I talked to Sarah Velez to have a work order put for it to be hung up. Does anyone have any complaints or anything you would like to change. Senator O’Grady states that there have been time he was in the game room and the Attendant was falling asleep. EVP Perez states that he knows who he is talking about but he has not caught him and this will be brought up.
C. President Brady asks if there are any questions for EVP Perez. Senator O’Grady asks with the loss of the AVP of Student Life who picks up the slack? President Brady states EVP Perez is the Executive Chairperson of all committees thus chairing any vacancies.
V. Treasurer Gabriel Report:
A. Treasurer’s roundtable wrap-up - we had a quick Treasurer meeting and a lot of them picked up their Budget Packets.
B. Questions & Comments. My first comment anyone who is on the Budget Committee could you please see me after the meeting. Also, it was brought to my attention that a lot of you had questions or concerns about your budget. These I can not answer now but I will answer them next week. I have the answers that Senator O’Grady has regarding the conference. Senator Yazicilar asks for the new organizations when they can receive funding. Treasurer Gabriel states if they applied for funding before the required date, they will get it. Treasurer Gabriel asks which organization you are inquiring about. Senator Yazicilar says Model UN. Treasurer Gabriel tells Senator Yazicilar to see her after the meeting. Senator O’Grady states that he did some investigation on the New Orleans conference and I learned that there is a conference in NYC two weeks after the conference in New Orleans. My question is if there is a conference in New York why are you going to New Orleans? Treasurer Gabriel states that the content is different to my understanding. President Brady states you are correct; we also wanted to include all E-Board members. Senator O’Grady asks out of the member of the E-Board that is going how many are not graduating seniors? Treasurer Gabriel states herself and EVP Perez. Senator Stone asks why this wasn’t brought to the Senate earlier because you are spending a lot of money. Treasurer Gabriel states because it was approved last year, when it was brought to you last year you should have asks questions about it. Senator Stone states it just seems a little ridiculous because there isn’t much time left and you are taking a bunch of seniors to New Orleans to just hang out. Treasurer Gabriel states that the way you are putting is that we are sending students on a vacation to hang out. Actually there are tons of activities and programs we can learn and we will bring them back to theSenate. Treasurer Gabriel states a couple of months ago when they went to their conference they brought back tons of programming ideas. Senator Stone asks what programming? AVP Jueckstock states the game show which we hope the Senate will approve in the upcoming months. Also, I personally brought all of that information to the Senate last year. The conference helped me with promotional ideas especially the spring fest promotion. We met with a lot of agents for spring fest type events. President Brady states that if you were on the Senate last year you know that we were also charged with going and bringing back something we learned. We presented this information at the Senate training which was during camp weekend, and if we don’t bring anything back we will not get paid. Treasurer Gabriel states that I know you are concerned about the graduating seniors but when you do the transformation of the Executive Board there is a period of time that you do a one on one training. At this training it will benefit the person getting trained. Senator Stone states it just seems like a waste of time. Treasurer Gabriel states it is a matter of opinion. Senator Manz asks if the former AVP of Student Life and AVP of Academics going? Treasurer Gabriel states the AVP Student Life was going but as of right now we have to talk about this. Ibelieve the AVP of Student Life is not going now. Senator Manz asks who isreplacing them. Treasurer Gabriel states we don’t know. Senator Manz asks will you get your money back. Treasurer Gabriel states it is not refundable, but it is transferable, someone else can go, but we just learned about this a few hours ago. It is something we need to decide as a group. Senator O’Grady parliamentary inquiry can we motion to send someone in AVP Dapaahs place? President Brady recognizes USG Program Coordinator Lynn Korn to answer this. Lynn states Cristeen will have to go physically to the airport and transfer the ticket to the student going. There is a little bit of a hassle. Senator O’Grady states that I think it would be easy to do since it was already planned, so I’ll restate my point of information can we nominate a new Senator or E-Board member to go? Senator O’Grady motions to nominate a new AVP or Senator to go to the New Orleans conference. Senator Manz 2nd. President Brady states we will vote on accepting the motion are there any questions. Senator Kennedy asks who is going. Treasurer Gabriel states EVP Perez, Treasurer Gabriel, President Brady, AVP Jueckstock and for the record AVP Hassan is not going. Senator Bancroft asks can we really do this with just 3 days before the trip. Treasurer Gabriel states we are just switching the name. President Brady states if this is not possible to do the nothing comes of the motion. President Brady states if there are no more questions we will move into vote. There are no more questions vote is taken and passes 7 yeas, 5 nays, 4 abstentions. President Brady states floor is open for student nominations. Senator Manz nominates AVP Hassan. Treasurer Gabriel 2nd. President Brady asks if there are any more nominations and there are none. President Brady states we will now vote on AVP Hassan and passes unanimously. President Brady states if possible, AVP Hassan will attend the conference. Anymore questions or comments for Treasurer Gabriel. Senator Manz out of order. Treasurer Gabriel states she would like to meet with here committee after meeting.

AVP Jueckstock states it is on your calendars that you received at the senate training and it is March 1st and 2nd. Senator Yazicilar asks if organizations can go? AVP Jueckstock states yes, we recommend it. Senator O’Grady asks what happened with senate training? AVP Jueckstock states we had to cancel due to the weather, we reschedule senate training to Saturday. Everyone was called at the numbers that you put on your blue cards so unless you gave prior notice you did get an absence. Senator Manz asks is it really appropriate to give absences to people who may have an outdated blue card? President Brady states there was also a sign on the USG Doors and wall. AVP Jueckstock states obviously if no one was outside and you went home, then there is not much we can do, but I would have hoped you went to our office. I have a new issue, the inquiry promised to us by Res Life, and they were asked to get their police reports from UPD, 3 people discovered their reports had been misfiled and are unrecoverable. President Brady states we need to vote on the committee list. Senator Kennedy asks when the committee meets. Senator Desimone states we do not have a set time yet. Senator O’Grady asks to restate the motion. President Brady restates motion: a motion has been brought forth to us to approve the above people for the Campus Safety Ad Hoc Committee. President Brady states we will vote on the motion and passes 15 yeas, 0 nays and 0 abstentions. Treasurer Gabriel wishes the committee good luck.
