DECEMBER 4, 2007

I.            Call to Order

            Roll Call

II.            Approval of Agenda

A.   EVP Brady states that Rules & Regulations Chair Greco will give his report first then we will return to the original order.  Under Rules & Regulations (A) will be Elections Chair (B) Recognition and (C) Questions and Comments. Under President St. Rose Report (A) will be UPD and (B) will be Questions and Comments. AVP Walters adds (C) Resignation and (D) Questions and Comments. EVP Brady motions to approve the agenda.  AVP Jueckstock so moved.  AVP Dapaah makes a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:50.  EVP Brady asks if there are any objections.  Senator Mann asks why.  AVP Dapaah states because it is finals week.  EVP Brady states if there are no more objections we will move into a voice vote. Voice vote is taken and passes 20 yea, 0 nay and 2 abstentions.

III.            Rules & Regulations Greco Report:

A.   Rules Chair Greco states that every year there are elections and this year the Justices decide on who they want to see as our election chair.  The elections chair is the person who over sees our election committee.  The Justices have decided that this year’s nominee President St. Rose interrupts and states call to order.  EVP Brady states what is your point of order.  President St. Rose states that he brings forth the nomination chair. Rules & Regulations Greco states that the Justices do.  EVP Brady calls President St. Rose out of order.  Rules & Regulations Greco states that on behalf of Judicial Council he would like to motion Jordan Ross Complex Director for Towers 2 and 3 for the election chair. EVP Brady states the nomination is on the table to elect Jordan Ross as the election chair and asks if there are any questions or comments for Jordan. Treasurer Gabriel asks to state your goals and position. Jordan states her goal is to run a fair campaign and to make sure the rules and regulations are followed and every ones voices are heard. EVP Brady asks if there are anymore questions or comments.   There are no more questions and vote is taken to elect Jordan Ross as election chair and passes 21 yeas 0 nays and 1 abstention.

B.    Rules & Regulations Greco states that the Rules & Regulations committee would like to make a motion for USG to recognize the American Mock Trail Association and Native American Students organization. EVP Brady if there are any questions or comments.  Floor is open for discussion.  Treasurer Gabriel asks for them to please state their goals.  American Mock Trial Association (Mock Trial) states their goal is to work hand in hand with any department that has interested students, faculty and clubs that have forth coming pre-law minor of Buffalo State.  Native American Students state that their goal is to continue to serve the Native American Community at Buffalo State College.  EVP Brady states that we will vote to recognize the Native American Student Organization.  Vote is taken and passes 18 yeas, 0 nays and 4 abstentions. Vote is then taken to recognize the American Mock Trail Association and passes 19 yeas, 3 nays and 0 nays.

IV.            President St. Rose Report:

A.   President St. Rose recognizes Officer Myers from UPD.  Officer Myers states to make sure you fill out the New York Alert when you are on Banner it is very beneficial. The chief of police retired last week and assistant chief Carey has moved up to chief of police. We have two more officers retiring next week and we are in the hiring process.  We might be short officers for a while because the candidates we have are not very qualified.  Floor is open for questions.

B.    President St. Rose makes a motion to elect a new chair. AVP Walters 2nd.  EVP Brady states that the motion is up for debate.  Senator Dann asks why we are changing.  AVP Walters states at the beginning of the year there was a miscommunication with the E-Board.  AVP Walters states that President St. Rose has become a strong leader and he should be given a second chance. Senator Manz states if this was changed by a resolution shouldn’t it have to be changed by another resolution and not a motion. Rules & Regulations Greco states that the resolution that was passed was suspended from our constitution when it came to the Senate.  What this did was determined as a default chair which allows the Senate to choose their own chair. Senator Manz asks why change it now EVP Brady is doing a great job.  Senator O’Grady asks if this is a motion to remove EVP Brady and elect President St. Rose. EVP Brady states it is a motion to elect a new chair.  Senator Mead motions to lay it on the table until next semester.  Senator O’Grady 2nd.  EVP Brady states that we will vote on the motion to lay the motion to elect a new chair until next semester.  Vote is taken and motion does not carry 8 yeas, 9 nays and 4 abstentions. EVP Brady states floor is open for discussion.  Senator Kennedy asks if it passes will it happen right now.  EVP Brady states it would happen right now.  Senator Kennedy asks if she can make an amendment to motion that it would happen next meeting not this meeting.  EVP Brady asks President St. Rose if he would accept a Friendly Amendment.  President St. Rose states no he does not accept it.  Senator Desimone asks why are we doing this we are not having any problems why are we wasting time.  President St. Rose states because we are all suppose to follow the constitution.  This is a constitutional right it wasn’t voted by this Senate or by the students.  This is not to protect myself as President Michael St. Rose but to protect the presidency.  It shows that the Senate is strong enough to remove the chair on one mistake.  As President I never reprimanded any one on their mistakes but spoke to them to improve their mistake.  The President is supposed to preside over the Senate. Senator Manz asks President St. Rose if he wants the chair back again.  President St. Rose states yes.  Senator Manz asks according to the Resolution that was passed are you allowed to be chair again.  Rules & Regulations Greco states that President St. Rose can be chair again.  President St. Rose states he could have called it out of order he didn’t know he could.  Senator Manz states that was 2 months ago no one realized until now that it was unconstitutional.  EVP Brady states Senator Manz is out of order he cannot ask a direct question.  Senator Manz would like to recognize a member of Judicial to ask a question.  EVP Brady asks if anyone objects to recognizing Justice Zomerfield.  There are no objections.  Justice Zomerfield states that no disrespect to President St. Rose but I believe this issue was brought to you by Senator Mosgrove through Judicial Council.   Judicial Council ruled on this accordingly regarding the constitutionality saying the resolution was constitutional and I believe that is where we stand.  Furthermore, if President St. Rose is to be reinstated isn’t that a violation of Robert Rules.  EVP Brady asks what the case verdict was.  Justice Zomerfield states the verdict was that the Resolution was constitutional to step down President St. Rose as chair of the Senate. To reaffirm a position briefly taken by a previous motion of a Resolution serves a useful purpose.  As a conflict with the rules which meant something previously adopted. EVP Brady recognizes Assistant Chief Justice.  Assistant Chief Justice states that anyone nominated cannot be chair again that includes EVP Brady, Rules & Regulations Greco and President St. Rose.  Senator O’Grady motions to recess.  EVP Brady takes a vote to recess and does not carry 5 yeas, 16 nays and 0 abstentions. Senator O’Grady motions to limit debate to 9:45 pm. Senator Mead 2nd.  EVP Brady takes a vote and does not carry 9 yeas, 11 nays and 0 abstentions.  Senator Gielski states that if this passes Rules & Regulations Greco, EVP Brady and President St. Rose can not be chair.  Rules & Regulations Greco states he can not find anything in Roberts Rules that says you can not be re-nominated. Senator Mead states so we can re-nominate people but we are nominating a new chair.  President St. Rose point of information can you suspend a constitutional rule.  Rules & Regulations Greco says yes. AVP Dapaah states that if this is not voted on by 9:50 the meeting is over.  President St. Rose with draws the motion.  AVP Dapaah calls to suspend the rules. Senator O’Grady 2nd.  EVP Brady takes a vote on suspending the rules and passes 20 yeas, 0 nays and 0 abstentions.  Justice Henry states that Rules & Regulations Greco has a different edition of Robert Rules. It seems like everyone is off base and I can get the rule book in my hands if I need to. Rules & Regulations Greco states that after further investigation people can be re-nominated. EVP Brady motions to continue with the agenda.  Vote is taken and passes unanimously. EVP Brady states we will go back to the order of the day.  AVP Dapaah makes an amendment to the motion previously adopted of adjournment time of 9:50 to whenever the meeting is over.  Senator Mead 2nd.  Vote is taken and passes unanimously.  EVP Brady asks President St. Rose to finish his report.

E.    Senator Pro Tem Perez Report:
- I need to speak with Senator Mead, Senator Manz, Senator Desimone and Senator Gielski at the end of the meeting regarding liaison reports.

VIII.            New Business

A.   Black Rock Resolution - EVP Brady recognizes AVP Jueckstock. AVP Jueckstock states that at the beginning of the meeting she passed out a resolution and hopes everyone received a copy (see attached).  This was brought to our attention by an   old Senator.  Apparently there is a plan about turning an old Black Rock warehouse into a transition home for recently released high-risk sex offenders. This is a little bit over a mile away from campus.  I wrote up a resolution because we feel this is not an appropriate place to have recently released and on parole people.  This warehouse is in a two mile radius of local child care centers, Buffalo State College Child Care Center, West Hertel Elementary School, Campus West Elementary School, Buffalo State College and within a five mile radius of several other colleges. Senator Manz asks if they have other places to go for this. AVP Jueckstock states right now the plan is specifically for this building.  Right now it is just being voted on to have it in this community.  AVP Walters points out that there are about 20 sex offenders on Grant Street.  President St. Rose states that its not like we are against this transitional house we just don’t want it in our community.  Vote is taken in support of the resolution and passes 19 yeas, 0 nays and 1 abstention.

IX.            Old Business

A.   Student Bill #1 - EVP Brady recognizes Senator Pro Tem Perez.  Senator Pro Tem Perez states the motion is on Student Bill #1 which will be voted on tonight.  This Bill is the one dealing with paychecks and making sure the Executive Board is held responsible for their office hours. Senator Pro Tem Perez motions that this body accept Student Bill #1.  Senator O’Grady 2nd.   EVP Brady asks if there is any discussion on this Student Bill.  AVP Walters states that are 2 types of business people.  There are the macro people and the micro people. I feel like the people on the macro level look at a goal and have a little lee way of trying to get to the goal.  People don’t need to or want to be told what to do every minute of the day. We are all students and are trying to do different things. Senator Dann states that she thinks this is fair.  I have told some people to stop by and see some of the officers and they say they have come up and they are not here. President St. Rose states that you have to understand as Senators your responsibility are the Senate meetings and the liaison reports twice a semester. The E-Board works way past their mandated hours. What AVP Walters is trying to say is that we are students, yes we are a corporation but we have the opportunity to be students at the same time.  There are going to be times when your tires can blow, you need to study, you need to do your lab, you need to get up and watch TV you can not be there 24/7.  I understand students come and were not in the office but then again do you want an AVP always in their office or you want an AVP with an organization working to make sure that organization is successful. We are not only here for students we have organizations.  We are a professional company we have a camp to keep in charge of, a dental clinic, we have a lot of things to be responsible for we are not just here for the students alone. Section 1 says the pay scale for the E-Board but I believe it should affect everyone getting a USG check.  The Game Room attendant, and even our professional staff you can’t root for one and not for all. You can’t nit pick when you do a constitution the people that really write it are doing it to protect themselves and others.  This is breaking us down.  The last part in Section 3 if you are late you get a ¼ absence that is room for impeachment.  Even though impeachment is just a trial you can get kicked out because guess what your car broke down trying to come to work. Your car broke down by doing some event for someone else.  If you understand that this is not hurting you all but if you come up here in the future you will have to be like as President I do not be in my office because guess what I have to meet, greet, do speeches make sure everyone is doing fine students and all of that.  I particularly won’t be in my office I do and I try.  But everybody else’s positions entail them to be in their office. I understand that you have to be there but you need to understand that we are students to this is not my full pledge job.  There are people taking a lot of classes and trying to do this at the same time.  We are taking the fun away from being students and just trying to make this a straight corporation and we are not.  We are a student run corporation it is suppose to be fun not stressful. EVP Brady states that in defense of the Senators they also go to committee meetings do programming, debate and they also help make decisions. Senator Nunez states that when you went into these positions you knew what you had to do. I am proud of everyone here I have a lot of homework to do and I am here.  Senator Manz asks where does the money come from when you get paid. EVP Brady states it is the student activity fee that’s in the budget. Senator Manz states ok I was just wondering.  Senator Manz wants to clarify are we voting on just the hours that you are in the office. Senator Manz asks would it be possible to cover everyone on the USG payroll. EVP Brady states it would have to be an amendment. EVP Brady states that we have a professional staff that is on salary and we also have student workers.  We are on stipends. Senator Manz states that he personally believes that you should get paid for what you do. AVP Walters states that he can’t personally be in the office 6 hours and then do all the other stuff like meet with the campus directors, athletic department.  I have to do this during my office hours. If someone needs to get in touch with me I can give them my cell phone number or they can put a note in my mailbox or email me. AVP Dapaah states that she is not against this bill and office hours does not mean that she has to be at her desk during her office hours.  There is a book upstairs that we have to sign in and sign out when we are here.  She realizes that this bill is to protect the corporation but the ¼ absence is a problem.  For example, I have lab before my office hours if I get out of lab late that makes me late for my office hours which gives me a ¼ absence. This is open to interpretation and this is where the loop hole is. Next year the Rules Chair could be a stickler and if that is the case I will get penalized. If I am late I make up the time to get in my maximum hours and there is no reason if I am 1 or 2 minutes late I should get penalized. Senator Manz point of information the USG E-Board is paid by stipends correct.  AVP Dapaah states yes.  Senator Manz states that regardless of your office hours that you attended for the last 12-13 weeks whether you worked 10 or 1 hour you got paid the same amount. Senator Pro Tem Perez states that his pay check usually comes out to $54.51 and he is ok with everyone knowing this. If you think of this it is nearly an entire student’s activity fee.  Now think of the Executive Board who gets paid more than that.  You have to think that we are here to protect the students and its high way robbery if you are working 1 hour and you are getting paid for 6.  You are basically taking somebody’s student activity fee and I don’t see how that is allowable. EVP Brady states that you are allowed to call ahead to the secretary if you are going to be late. Senator Mead states that she agrees that your office hours shouldn’t always be just at your desk.  My suggestion would be to publicly state the hours you will be in your office and the other hours can be out of the office. EVP Brady states that this already exists.  Senator Gielski asks for a clarification on Section 3 B2 where it says shall monitor and record all absences is this an open interpretation.  What I am saying is it was brought up if my car doesn’t start and I will be 15 minutes late    does this means if this mean I can talk to those 2 people and explain what happened and it wouldn’t be counted against me.  Senator Perez states that this is a great point and thank you for bringing this up.  Just like most of the rest of the constitution this was designed to have built in gray areas for interpretation. The wording is made all identical to your absence policy the EVP and the Rules & Regulations Chair shall monitor and record all absences for the Senate. It is basically replacing the Senate with the Executive Board. Just as you are allowed to be excused it leaves the same room for the Executive Board.  Senator Gielski asks if the same rules apply to the Senate lets say if we are 15 minutes late because our car broke down would we talk to the same people. I am just trying to make sure that the parallels are even that the Senate has the same rules as the Executive Board.  EVP Brady states that if it is a legit excuse and yes it is open interpretation. EVP Brady asks if there are any more questions or comments.  Senator O’Grady asks what is office hours defined as.  Rules & Regulations Greco states that office hours is signing in and having your location accountable for. EVP Brady asks if there are any more questions or comments.  Senator Hamilton motions to amend ¼ absences to ½ absences within that week for the Senate to make it fair ground. Senator O’Grady 2nd. EVP Brady opens floor for discussion.  AVP Dapaah states if she is late for a meeting she gets a ½ absence as well. I feel if I am late and don’t make it up I shouldn’t get paid for it.  President  St. Rose states that he watched USG for the past 4 years and this is the first Senate that is getting at the E-Board.  This is a privilege to be up here.  Senator Manz point of information this was not brought up by the Senate it was brought up by the E-Board.  President St. Rose states it was not brought up by the E-Board it was brought up by 2 Executive Board members Rules Chair Greco and that is what is going on. If you want to absence us out we will have to always vote for a new chair, a new person, a new vice president, a new president or a new treasurer.  I understand that you think this is fair but some people just do too much and some people do to little. I think we should lay this on the table because it is 11:00 and the Union is closing and there is a lot of confusion.  EVP Brady states there is a motion to lay Student Bill #1 on the table. Senator Manz 2nd.  EVP Brady states we are still discussing changing the ¼ absence to a ½ absence and the floor is open for discussion.  Senator Pro Tem Perez states as far as this new amendment goes and I believe AVP Jueckstock would agree I think that is a little too much. Our reasoning behind this is that as AVP Dapaah stated we already get a ½ absence if we miss this meeting and we included the pay penalty and the whole ¼ absence.  As the creator of the bill I do not support the whole ½ absence motion.  EVP Brady states that she would say that Senator Hamilton amendment would be a Friendly Amendment.  EVP Brady asks Senator Pro Tem Perez if he accepts the amendment and Senator Pro Tem Perez states no. EVP Brady states we now go back to whether or not we are going to approve the Bill. Senator Manz motions to lay this on the table.  Vote is taken and passes unanimously.

B.    EVP Brady states Senator O’Grady asked if the gym is open to students who don’t go to Buff State and the answer is yes. They will have to pay a higher fee. Senator Nunez asked what time the Senate meetings will be next semester.  EVP Brady states the meeting will begin at 8:45 but the E-Board meeting will be at a different time.  Senator Nunez asks why can’t we start earlier wasn’t that the point of pre-registering.  EVP Brady asks how many Senators have a class at night.  There are 5 Senators that have class. EVP Brady states this could be something that is addressed for next year’s legislature. Maybe they could change the meeting time so the students are aware of it before they put an application in to be Senator.

X.            Constituents Questions/Announcements

            A.  Senator Mead announces that the Day Care is having a spaghetti luncheon on Thursday and the Senate and E-Board are invited. Also, I had a student come up to me and ask me why the sub line was closed does anyone know. EVP Brady refers the question to the Food Service Committee. Senator Pro Tem Perez states that there was a pest problem and due to the response that  Sodexho received they closed down the unit and move it somewhere else. What they were doing before this was bring in pest control every week.  There is also a rumor that part of the construction to the Union is delayed until next semester. Senator Pro Tem Perez states that was the issue but they had a      meeting and Dr. Ecklund confirmed that they will not be opening late.  If it does open late it will only be a few days not 2 weeks like they thought.

            B.  Senator Manz states that he feels like the Senate is going weird right now about the previous motion earlier about getting the chair back. I am just asking that everyone think over the break because I don’t want to have to come back semester and talk over and over again about changing the chair. I feel that President St. Rose is trying to take back the chair and if you want to do this fine.  If we are going to deal with this next semester someone has to write a resolution because it was unconstitutional the way it was done.

             C. Senator Mead states that she was offered a job so she will be resigning as Senator.

             D. Senator O’Grady asks if the President has any future judicial cases to update the Senate on. President St. Rose says no he can’t update the Senate on any judicial cases if the case never happened you can’t know about it. It is the separation of power judicial, legislation and executive can’t tell on you would know after the verdict.  Senator O’Grady states he is asking about a case that occurred last week and if I can recognize Assistant Chief Justice Yolanda. EVP Brady asks if there are any objections.  There are no objections. Assistant Chief Justice Yolanda states that the case is still pending however all judicial council cases are open to all students and senate body.  If you would like to attend you can come at 3:00 pm in the Game Room you can not speak but you can attend. AVP Jueckstock asks who is suppose to report judicial cases to the Senate because there have been cases that we should know about.  EVP Brady states the President which would be President St. Rose.

E. Student at Large Crofton asks if the fitness center is going to be open during the break? EVP Brady states she believes yes. Also, the internet service on campus is terrible is there anyone to go talk to or is it going to change? EVP Brady states that res net is the internet provider on campus.  AVP Dapaah states that this was brought up at the college senate meeting along with other issues and we were reassured that we would be getting a report on the technology and where the tech fee goes. AVP Walters states if you have any on campus issues like this please bring them to his committee.

F.    EVP Brady announces Hockey player Rob Ray will be in the book store tomorrow for his book signing.

G.   President St. Rose states he is going to make a comment and it is not to offend any one.  President St. Rose states that he has been with USG for 4 years and this is the best Senate but it is the worst in what the legislation is doing. Most of the legislating really affected is not really the E-Board but myself.  I got more grievances this year than a President ever got in his record.  It is basically on what I have to work on as President.  When I came here I wasn’t groomed to be President I was just a student.  I was just a student I didn’t want some random guy making rules for 9,000 students that never interacted with students.  I interacted with ever single person in here directly or indirectly.  I probably asked you to be here or probably asked you to not be here.  Personally I feel like that every Tuesday and then to meet on Thursday it really feels bad.  I mean personally as President to evaluate you all we have not gone anywhere, we have not done anything for the 9,000 students.  Because everyone here and some of you may feel you have done something but I get students coming to me and asking when are we going to do something because you are not doing anything.  I get it from the administration when they do surveys they think we do not do anything.  I’m starting to think too that we do not do anything.  We are nitpicking with each other instead of making sure organizations are doing what they are supposed to be doing.  I mean we ask the organizations if they see their liaisons and majority of them say no and they do not know who their liaison is.  I as President think that you have to be an expert on Robert Rules because that was the down fall of every legislation they just didn’t know Robert Rules and you all know it so well as to manipulate it because you all feel that we are not doing something right or Michael St. Rose is not doing something right.  I am not here for myself I am here for you all.  When I ran for this position last year I was proud because it was people here and a large voted for me to be here. But it’s like the Senate doesn’t want me to be here and I am highly considering in resigning because you know what this is effecting my school work, my personal life and my social life.  I don’t go anywhere because I am always here and even if you don’t think I am here I am meeting with some one. The plans I am going to do may never get implemented and you may not remember anything I said.  You are never going to get a President that makes sure everyone here leaves with a resume.  You are never going to get a President that makes sure that we think outside the box.  Most of the organizations got an increase because I was a nice Treasurer.  Most of them didn’t deserve an increase but I believe in chances and you don’t because you did give me a chance. I messed up one time on something that if you needed to know that resolution was unconstitutional.  I didn’t do anything unconstitutional.  I just said we should do more of the liaison reports you don’t even see your organization they don’t even know who you are because they are calling us to see who you are.  I’m not talking down to anyone but if I was to evaluate it you do not get a good evaluation from me.  I am very harsh in grading. The same as my E-Board gets it the same as I’m going to give it to you.  I’m not perfect and I kept on saying Rome wasn’t built in a day. I also was hoping that we were going to grow and get better together not get on somebody on the E-Board personal or anything. Even if it’s not personal I feel its personal.  I wasn’t trying to take back my chair as Michael St. Rose but as President. It was to protect the Presidency, to protect USG I am seeing it destruct itself.  We sat down passed 11:00 on the bill that you clearly did not understand and it about our paychecks being publicly known.  For the last thirty something years people didn’t know that we got paid in USG, that was a privilege. It was a secret privilege nobody that came here the new people like Tim and Ed didn’t even know they got paid.  You are saying that you don’t get paid what are you doing that you should get paid. This is the best legislation because to understand Robert Rules but we are not progressing. I named you five goals that we didn’t even get to one. They were: Advisement, Communication, Spirit and Aids Awareness Week.  Me wanting to resign is amazing to me there is a lot of stuff that was wrong but you don’t even see it because you are focusing on me.  Senator Manz asks if he can make a comment.  EVP Brady says ok.  Senator Manz states he needs a clarification if this amendment that we passed on October 8th was constitutional or unconstitutional. Rules & Regulations Greco states that the Justices said it was constitutional.  President St. Rose states he went to someone professional and they said it was out of order. President St. Rose states he went to the VP of Governess, Gail Wells, the President of Student Assembly and other people and they said it was out of order.  EVP Brady states they did not say that.  President St. Rose says yes they did.  EVP Brady states that President St. Rose has other thoughts about this. President St. Rose states he is pouring his heart out to the Senate. EVP Brady states President St. Rose comment is time up and if we go around and it comes back to him he can continue. EVP Brady recognizes Senator Mead.  Senator Mead states she has respect for everyone on the E-Board and thinks everyone is doing an awesome job.  I feel like I am  being personally attacked.  The whole Senate is doing a good job.  If I could make a motion to never vote for a chair again I would.  We are supposed to support each other but you don’t support the other areas of our student government.  Senator Manz is recognized.  Senator Manz states that he does not have a personal problem with President St. Rose. I feel the Senate does stuff, I did miss my liaison report for Wilderness Adventures.  I did try to get there but I have class and our schedules did not clash. I did finally get in touch with them. I feel that you attacked everything that we tried to accomplish. Nothing gets done in the Senate because I feel we sit and debate for hours and hours upon hours on whether or not we should vote on a new chair. How long are we debating on whether or not to take you off the chair and then on who wants to be the chair and then fight over everything else.  I think this one situation has taken so much out of what we can do for the students because we can’t together as a whole. I think it should just stop.  If I could make a motion to never change the chair I would but it would probably be unconstitutional. My problem is I guess that you use the word unconstitutional a lot when you said you were talking to this person and that person and they say it was unconstitutional. Our Judicial Board who were elected and we are suppose to have faith in and you are suppose to have faith in and every time we discuss this you throw around how it was unconstitutional.  It wasn’t unconstitutional according to out Judicial Board and if that is the case we shouldn’t be debating over this anymore. Student at Large Yazicilar states that we are all great people and we should be united.  United Students Government we need to put all stuff away we are a team and we should all come together and do our part to support our students. When we come here we should act like professionals and represent the students and we do what it is told in our constitution because that is our bible.  Rules & Regulations Greco points out that the Executive Branch students in power recommend legislature to legislation branch.  The responsibilities of the Senate is to pass legislation for the general welfare of the student body so I don’t like to place blame the Senate for not doing anything or outing blame on the Executive Board for not doing anything because they are suppose to do that at the same time.  You should not be singling one side out more than the other.  For example, the internet in the dorms you can write a resolution out, anyone can write a resolution. It is not one Branch not working it’s the system. EVP Brady states that it is every student’s right to ask any of us what we are doing for you. AVP Jueckstock states that she does not want people to think they are not doing anything.  Personally, I feel you are doing an amazing job.  I see Senators upstairs all the time I know my committee and some people who come to my committee are rocking it. I also want to say I support my Judicial Council and what they decide because we appointed these people and they make these decisions and that’s checks and balances and I rely on them.  EVP Brady states that there was times last year when students did not know what USG was.  I believe you are doing your jobs because you ask questions and you are representing the students. AVP Dapaah states that she wants everyone to relax and enjoy your families.  I want you to remember that academics come first and I am sorry if you are stressed. AVP Dapaah makes a motion to adjourn.  Senator Bancroft 2nd.  EVP Brady states we will move into vote and passes 17 yeas, 3 nays and 0 abstentions.
