USG Welcomes Cornel West to Buffalo State
Author activist Cornel West spoke in the Rockwell Hall Auditorium on the evening of November 6 under the sponsorship of USG. In his talk West (seen above with members of USG) focused mainly on the history-making presidential election two days before.

USG Poverty Week Events
During the week of November 17 to 22 USG and member organizations will sponsor a series of events to create campus awareness of poverty, its affect on our world, and what we can do to end it. To start things off a two-week Food Drive for the Food Bank of WNY runs November 10 to 21. Non-perishable food can be donated at Union 417 (USG), Union 419 (NYPIRG), or your RA's Office. Events include A Poverty Banquet, Sleep-Out for the Homeless, Refugee Awareness speakers, and a WBNY Rock for Socks live music show. See the calendar page for details on these events.

Organizational and Corporate Meeting
The Annual Corporate Meeting will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 3PM in Bulger North. All activity fee paying students are considered "USG Shareholders" and are encouraged to attend and learn more about how their fee is being spent. The meeting also serves as the second Organizational Meeting of the fall semester and USG Organization Treasurers plus one other E-Board member are required to be present.
