The Record Student Newspaper
The voice of the students at Buffalo State for more than 80 years, The Record publishes weekly when classes are in session. The Record seeks to keep the student body informed on campus issues, events, and activities. The newspaper also provides a forum for students to voice their opinions, publicize events, and advertise. Students who join the staff can contribute as writers, editors, photographers, graphic artists, or in the advertising department. Students who sell advertising can earn commissions. Stipends are available to students in editorial positions.

Published every Thursday morning when classes are in session.

BSC The Record 2008-09 Ad Rates and Publication Schedule

Rates for Display Ads:
Eighth of a page (2 columns (3.75") x 5 inches) is $57.
Quarter of a page (3 columns (5.625") x 7 inches) is $120.
Half page horizontal (5 columns (9.375") x 7 inches) is $200.
Half page vertical (4 columns (7.5") x 9 inches) is $200.
Full page (5 (9.375") columns x 14 inches) is $400.

(A single column measures 1-7/8 inches wide and multiple columns are 2 inches wide with 5 columns per page.)

Classified Advertising Rates:
$5 for the first 20 words and 10 cents for each additional word.

• Please send your display ad in black and white in the form of a JPEG or PDF as an attachment to the following address: thebscrecord@yahoo.com
• To ensure the proper appearance of your add make sure the art file is the same size and proportions as the space you are buying and the resolution is at least 300 lpi.
• Also please include the date that you would like the ad to run (we publish our paper every Thursday) and a mailing address to send an invoice along with the tear sheets to.
• All bills must be paid by check or money order within 30 days of publication. We have no online rates.
• The ad deadline is noon on the Monday previous to publication date, unless other arrangements are confirmed with the Ad Manager in advance.
